Asgardian All-Stars Headline THE SERPENT AND THE DEAD
In The Serpent and the Dead, a new prose novel from Aconyte Books, written by Anna Stephens and with a cover by Massimiliano Haematinon Nigro, Lady Sif and Valkyrie battle across the Ten Realms in an incredible tale about some of the strongest warriors in the galaxy! The third prose book about Asgard from Aconyte Books, this novel is already available digitally, and will be available at your local bookstore on September 21st, 2021.
Lady Sif and Valkyrie
The story of The Serpent and the Dead follows Brunnhilde the Valkyrie, who bears the responsibility of carrying the worthy souls of those who fall in battle to Vallhala.
But when she finds a battlefield devoid of souls, she enlists the assistance of Lady Sif to figure out what’s afoot. When they uncover rumors of a cadre of undead warriors, they must determine who is building an undead army before it’s too late for Asgard.
This is the third book in the Legends of Asgard line from Aconyte, which also includes The Head of Mimir by Richard Lee Byers (following Heimdall) and The Sword of Surtur by C.L. Warner (following Tyr).
The stories in the Legends of Asgard series center around the supporting characters in Thor’s stories, giving them a chance to step to the forefront in their own adventures (and drawing on plenty of Norse Mythology in the process).
