REVIEW: It’s Time for Kang the Conqueror #3
In Kang the Conqueror #3 by Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, Carlos Magno, Espen Grundetjern, and Joe Caramagna, with a main cover by Mike Del Mundo, the story of Kang becomes even more convoluted… which is just what you should expect from someone whose whole freaking thing is time travel!
“Only Myself Left to Conquer”
In this issue, we see Nathaniel Richards get fed-up with Kang’s antics and take matters into his own hands! After being stuck in a time-freezing sarcophagus by Apocalypse, Richards ends up waking up to a world where a future version of himself is invading.
But rather than try to join forces with Kang, Richards instead attempts to infiltrate his time-ship!
It’s all thanks to the motivation he has to reconnect with Ravonna… the Moon Knight of Ancient Egypt! It’s a lot to unpack, Marvel Blog True Believers, but doesn’t that seem fitting for a comic about this time-traveling supervillain?
At this point in the story, it isn’t clear where the narrative is going to end up, but considering the fact that the Kang-centric Timeless is set to play a significant role in the immediate future of the Marvel Comics universe, it seems like there’s some serious stakes at play here.
In addition to including plenty of interesting time-travel shenanigans, this issue also features some great splash pages, especially the one depicting a whole bunch of Marvel heroes going against Kang’s time-ship!
