Hailee Steinfeld Dishes on Mac & Cheese; More
In an interview posted to The Hollywood Reporter website on Monday, December 20th, 2021, Hailee Steinfeld dished on her mac & cheese preference, Kate’s privilege, and more! Never fear, Marvel Blog True Believers: we’ve got some of the highlights for you!

The first question the Marvelous (and multi-talented) actor was asked concerned the titular mac & cheese scene! This intimate “girls’ night in” gave Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), two of the leading superheroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next generation, the chance to show off their chemistry (and we loved every second of it, Marvel Blog True Believers).
Steinfeld admitted that while she wasn’t against hot sauce on mac & cheese, the condiment choice favored by the All-New, All-Different Black Widow isn’t necessarily her favorite, either. However, the duo probably won’t be coming to blows over it.

“I think the two of them even mention this, but if they were to fight, Yelena would probably win in two seconds,” conceded Steinfeld.

The interview also asked about Kate’s privilege, a topic that’s also addressed by the story in the comic, in which Kate finds herself having to earn money for the first time while living on the West Coast.
“Kate’s privilege is part of her story and how she might towy with that or take advantage of that in ways that aren’t appropriate at times,” said Steinfeld. “And her mother called her out for it. She’s a young girl and she’s learning what that means to have that privilege.”
