Loki Writer Reveals Pre-Recorded Miss Minutes Award Speech
Awards season is in full swing! That period at the beginning of the year where we get to see what shows and films have garnered enough critical attention and praise to pick up some awards. Loki was one such series!
Heavily praised by both audiences and critics alike, and nominated for several awards. One such award was the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) award for best drama series and best new series. While the series did not win either award, show writer Michael Waldron posted a speech given by Miss Minutes that would’ve aired had the show won.
Congrats to Succession and Hacks on their WGA awards! Here’s the speech we submitted in case we won. #Loki pic.twitter.com/pK3VDbs5y5

One of the most fascinating aspects of the Loki series was that of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), an entity with a massive amount of power and pull that apparently worked behind the scenes of the Marvel universe.
Utilizing an idiosyncratic 1950/60s retro-futuristic aesthetic, fitted with analog machines, and having infinity stones as paperweights. The TVA captured the immediate attention of audiences, with the propaganda fueled artificial intelligence and mascot Miss Minutes garnering the most attention.
Miss Minutes started out as a seemingly amusing yet strange entity within the show. However, a certain creepy atmosphere surrounded the cartoonish character as the show continued.
When the final realization that ‘He Who Remains’ was actually in control, making the AI his number one lackey, it took on a much more sinister tone. Still, she remains one of the mascots of the Loki series, and a memorable figure from the show.
In the never-to-be-used award speech, voiced again by Tara Strong, we hear the unmistaken southern twang of Miss Minutes’ voice dripping with a pseudo-kindness masking an altogether eerie intimidation. Even with the missing CGI animation being replaced by a simple cardboard cutout, the little clock still manages to strike fear into listeners.
In the speech Miss Minutes, thanks to the Loki writers of the show before transitioning into a sinister monologue on how Loki is “trash fiction” and the writers are next up to be pruned from the timeline. With Tara Strong once again providing an endearing yet menacing voice.
Tara Strong will most certainly reprise her role as Miss Minutes in Loki season 2 which will begin filming soon.
How will Miss Minutes interfere in Loki’s path for season 2? We can’t wait to find out!
