Scarlett Johansson Wanted Her Executive Producer Title Removed From ‘Thunderbolt*’
While Scarlett Johansson did not appear in Marvel’s Thunderbolts*, Black Widow’s legacy loomed large over the film.
Although Thunderbolts* is an ensemble film, the undeniable star of the film is Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. After making her debut in Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff’s quasi-sister got the chance to shine in Thunderbolts*.

In order to save the world, Yelena must not only come to grips with her past but also accept Natasha’s death and mend her relationship with her “father”, Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian (David Harbour).
Johansson Tried to Get Her ‘Thunderbolts*’ Credit Removed
During a recent conversation with Johansson for Interview magazine, Harbour congratulated Johansson on her lasting impact.

“It’s the opening day of a movie that basically you are the seventh Thunderbolt in. Your character is all over this movie…. You are an executive producer on it. Congratulations,” Harbour said during the conversation.
Interestingly, Johansson revealed that she asked to have her executive producer credit removed from the film.
“I asked to have my credit removed because I wasn’t involved,” she said.
Despite Johansson’s protests, her credit on the film remained.
End of the Line?
With the actress adamant that her time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come to an end, Thunderbolts* may be the last Marvel credit that we see her get.
