Marvel Teases Gwen Stacey, Venom, and the Emergence of Nico’s Powers in ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ Season 2 Trailer

While Marvel Studios had a more muted presence at New York Comic Con than in years past, the event gave fans plenty of insight into the future of Marvel Animation.

In addition to a release date for Season 3 of X-Men ’97, Marvel announced that Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will hit Disney+ in fall 2026.

As a quick recap, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man follows the adventures of a teenage Peter Parker as he attempts to balance his life as a crime fighter with the everyday struggles of being a high school student.

Unlike the version of Spider-Man portrayed by Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this version of Peter Parker is not mentored by Tony Stark but instead taken under the wing of Norman Osborn.

Where We Left Things

At the end of Season 1, Peter and Doctor Strange had successfully defeated the Venom symbiote (though Norman Osborne managed to swipe a sample), Lonnie Lincoln had officially become Tombstone, and it was revealed that Peter’s father is actually alive and in prison.

Now, we have an idea of what to expect from Season 2.

Marvel’s Sneak Peek

At New York Comic Con, Marvel previewed a trailer for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2.

In the clip, fans saw the return of Doc Ock, Daredevil, Norman Osborne, and Scorpion, the emergence of Nico Minosru’s magical powers, and the introduction of Chameleon and Gwen Stacy.

The trailer also teased that the Venom symbiote would play a crucial role in the upcoming season.

So, while Peter Parker will not swing back into action until next fall, it looks like Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is going to be worth the wait.
