Is Cassie Lang Returning For ‘Avengers: Doomsday’?

As the countdown to Avengers: Doomsday continues, fans continue to speculate about which of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will suit up for the multiversal adventure.

After Marvel’s big Doomsday cast reveal earlier this year, the prevailing notion was that a second set of stars would subsequently be announced.

To this date, however, the only character that we can officially add to the Doomsday roster is Chris Evans, who will return as Steve Rogers.

Now, however, fans believe that they have figured out that another star will return.

Kathryn Newton’s Curious Hat

Kathryn Newton, who plays Cassie Long in the MCU, took to social media to post a seemingly innocent photo.

Upon closer inspection, however, fans noticed that Newton is wearing an Avengers: Doomsday crew hat.

Unless Newton is misdirecting fans, it appears that Cassie Long will in the next Avengers film.

Perhaps, then, we will finally see the Young Avengers assemble in some capacity?

Ever since the post-credit scene of The Marvels, we have been eagerly awaiting Kamala Khan and Kate Bishop to form their new team.

Since that time, the stories of Ironheart/Riri Williams and Wicca/Billy Maximoff have been expanded, lending credence to the idea that they will join Cassie, Kamala, and Kate to form the Young Avengers. Other possible members could include Iron Patriot, Hulking, and Tommy Maximoff.

While Newton’s Doomsday hat points towards Cassie Long’s return, for now, we will have to wait and see what happens.
