Chris Pratt Weighs in on His Potential Return as Star-Lord
While Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 served as a fitting conclusion for Marvel’s beloved franchise, it will not be the last time we see Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord.
With James Gunn now heading the DC Universe, several Guardians of the Galaxy stars, including Zoe Saldaña and Dave Bautista, have decided to hang up their superhero suits.

Meanwhile, the status of the current Guardians of the Galaxy team, which now includes Rocket, Groot, Adam Warlock, and Kraglin Obfonteri, remains unclear.
What we do know is that Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord will return.

After watching Peter Quill return to Earth at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, audiences were met with post-credit text that simply read, “The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return.”
What About ‘Doomsday’?
With the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise seemingly at an end, the prevailing assumption has been that Star-Lord would next appear in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

When the film’s cast was revealed, however, Pratt’s name was nowhere to be found.
Pratt’s Update
During a recent interview with ScreenTime, Pratt was asked which role he would most like to return to, and he quickly brought up Peter Quill.

“We made a promise with Guardians of the Galaxy that Star-Lord would return,” he said. “I think I would really love to make good on that promise.”
While it does not appear that Pratt will be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, it’s reassuring to hear that he still wants to play Star-Lord again.
What Has Peter Quill Been Doing?
During his conversation with ScreenTime, Pratt also shared what he believes the intergalactic hero has been up to since returning to Earth.

“[He’s] probably denying the fact that he was responsible for the death of Iron Man while simultaneously trying to convince people that he was a superhero at some point,” he mused.
“Probably catching up on the music from ‘70s pop all the way until when he came back. There’s a lot of music to catch up on.”
