Clark Gregg and Chloe Bennet Returning to MCU!!!
Although it’s disappointing that WandaVision‘s about to end, there’s some exciting news from the other side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to keep a darkhold over us until next week’s episode. The latest from FandomWire is that Clark Gregg‘s Agent Phil Coulson and Chloe Bennet‘s Daisy Johnson (A.K.A. Quake) are returning to the MCU for a project on Disney+.

Although FandomWire couldn’t confirm the project the two MCU alums are returning on, the website reports that its likely to be Secret Invasion, which is currently in production.
Chloe Bennet Returns to the MCU
Giant Freakin Robot first announced Bennet’s return to the MCU two weeks ago. According to the website’s sources, Marvel Studios will use Secret Invasion to bridge the gap left between the end of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the rest of the MCU, giving Quake a chance to be established as part of the larger Marvel ensemble.

For fans of Bennet or Quake, this is pretty exciting news! People assumed that Marvel Studios was leaving a lot of the previous television efforts behind, but that doesn’t seem to be the case as more and more rights revert back to the studio – e.g., Charlie Cox‘s Daredevil and Krysten Ritter‘s Jessica Jones.
Personally, I hope to see a Quake and Devil Dinosaur team-up. Hey, a girl can dream big, can’t she?
Secret Invasion
It seems most likely that these characters will be returning as some version of themselves in Secret Invasion on Disney+. It’ll be really exciting to see what role Bennet’s Quake and Gregg’s LMD Agent Coulson might play in the upcoming series.
It’s possible that Secret Invasion might rectify the continuity situation with where the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are in the timeline.

For those that need a refresher on what happened in Season 7, Coulson and the rest of the agents are thrust backward in time and stranded. However, when the all-new Zephyr starts to time-jump at any moment, the team of rundown agents must hurry to figure out what the heck is happening before the Chronicoms try to take over the world with the help of some old friends – Hydra!

By the end of Season 7, everyone has gone their separate ways in whatever timeline they are in where the blip never occurred.
