Secret Invasion’s Working Title Revealed
The working title for Marvel’s new series, Secret Invasion, has been revealed. It is Jambalaya. Marvel Studios will use this title while the show is filmed in the United Kingdom, expected to begin this Fall.
About Secret Invasion, a.k.a. Jambalaya
As we’ve reported, Secret Invasion has been described as a crossover event focusing on Skrulls. In Marvel comics, the Secret Invasion series is crafted around a groundbreaking revelation that several people in power, including some superheroes, have been replaced by Skrulls.

A shape-shifting alien race, Skrulls make their first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film Captain Marvel. They are introduced as peaceful alien refugees. At the end of Spiderman: Far From Home, they assume the identities of Nick Fury and Maria Hill while the two are off working to build a space station built on another planet.
To-date, MCU fans have not seen any Super-Skrull abilities. Historically, these were linked to Fantastic Four film rights. Now that those rights lie with Marvel, the Skrulls are free to imitate superpowers of heroes and villains in MCU films. This will make them more formidable opponents.

Secret Invasion Cast… What We Know
So far, we know that Secret Invasion will feature Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Ben Mendelsohn (Talos, Skrull leader), Olivia Coleman (an Oscar winner well-known for her work in The Favourite and on The Crown), Emilia Clarke (Emmy nominee best known for her work on Game of Thrones and Solo: A Star Wars Story), Kingsley Ben-Adir (known for his work on Peaky Blinders) and Christopher McDonald (who has appeared in Hacks and Happy Gilmore).

While we do know the series is meant to be a crossover event, it has not yet been revealed whether MCU cast members from the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, will appear. That being said, The Marvels is confirmed to be filming in Surrey, England. If the film and the Secret Invasion series are both being filmed in the UK, there is a strong likelihood for dual appearances.
