The joke references the fact that one of the Loki Variants we met in episode five of Loki, “Journey Into Mystery,” appears to be an Alligator!
Listen, you really must have been living in The Void if you don’t know about Alligator Loki yet, because this adorable character captured our hearts (and then ate President Loki’s right hand)!
Are We Sure He’s a Loki?
There are no details about why Hopkins was posing for a picture with an alligator. He may have been on vacation, visiting a facility where they cared for the adorable little reptiles, or it could have been behind the scenes in one of his many acting roles.
Whatever the reason, the adorable picture has surfaced at just the right time for viewers of Loki to fill in the blanks with all kinds of amazing possibilities, especially since Alligator Loki’s origins are currently quite enigmatic.
In fact, over the course of “Journey Into Mystery,” some characters even express doubt that he’s even a Loki. Hey, it’s not easy being green.
But, come on, Marvel Blog Untrue Believers… look at that helm! And just like Mobius (Owen Wilson) says, if he’s lying about being a Loki… well, that just makes him more likely to actually be one!
