REYNOLDS: Deadpool 3 Likely to Film in 2022!
In an interview with Collider, Ryan Reynolds assessed the likelihood that Deadpool 3 would begin filming in 2022 to be 70 percent – in other words, more than half! We like those odds, Marvel Blog True Believers… C’mon, baby, Marvel Blog needs a new pair of officially licensed “Merc with a Mouth” Boots!
Deadpool 3
Reynolds gave the assessment during an interview for Free Guy, the newly released movie from the now-defunct Fox Studios (that also features Taika Waititi, another actor who may be somewhat familiar to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe).
After at first waffling a bit and throwing out an estimation of “50/50,” Reynolds went on to realize it was August, and delivered the “70%” answer.
However, Reynolds went on to say that the script, which is being written by the Molyneux Sisters of Bob’s Burgers fame, was coming along well, promising plenty of instances where the narrative will “zig” when you’re expecting it to “zag.”
Reynolds and Deadpool
Reynolds has long been an outspoken proponent of the Regeneratin’ Degenerate.
Some suspect he may have been behind the unexpected leak of the original Deadpool teaser during San Diego Comic Con 2015. That leak is widely credited with finally getting the R-rated Deadpool greenlit by the studio.
Furthermore, the morning that the acquisition of Fox by Disney was finalized, Reynolds was on Twitter posting a picture of Deadpool on a school trip to Disneyland.
In other words, no matter what the studios say or how unlikely it might seem, Reynolds is consistently putting his all behind ensuring Wade Wilson appears on-screen, so we suspect that the 70% likelihood that Deadpool 3 begins filming in 2022 will indeed come to pass!
