Venom: Let There Be Carnage Confirmed Release Date & New Poster!
A brand new poster has been released for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. In addition, October 15 has been confirmed as the release date for the upcoming film.
The movie had been scheduled for release in October 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
New Poster Reveals Shriek
Not only does the new poster announce the film’s updated release date, but features several characters that will appear in the film.
Ed Hardy will reprise his role as Marvel Comics character Eddie Brock/Venom.
Woody Harrelson joins the franchise as serial killer Cletus Kasady. When Kasady becomes the host of an alien symbiote similar to Venom, he transforms into Carnage.
For the first time, we also catch a glimpse of Shriek, Carnage’s love interest. The character will be portrayed by Naomie Harris.
The new Venom: Let There Be Carnage poster appears to tease a potential battle between Harris’ character and She-Venom, played by Michelle Williams. Fans will recall Williams’ appearance in Venom (2018) as Eddie’s ex-fiancée and district attorney Anne Weying.
What We Know About the Plot
We know that this film will take place one year after the events of Venom.
Eddie Brock, who works as an investigative journalist, is struggling to adjust to his “new” life. As host of the alien symbiote Venom, he takes on super-human abilities and becomes a vigilante to be reckoned with.
In an attempt to reinvigorate his career, Brock interviews serial killer Cletus Kasady in jail. Kasady won’t speak with anyone except Brock.
Kasady eventually becomes the host of symbiote Carnage. He escapes prison after a failed execution.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and Tencent Pictures.
