Point Your Bifrost at COWRA, Australia
Did you know that Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Chris Hemsworth, who you most likely know from his recurring role as Thor Odinson (even on What If…?), is also the Australia Tourism Ambassador? Well, that leads to some Marvelous interactions, Marvel Blog True Believers, like the recent one that originated from the Cowra Visitor Information in Cowra, Australia!

Meanwhile, in Cowra
The video comes from the Cowra Visitor Information center, and follows two employees there who concoct a plan to lure Hemsworth to their town in order to bolster tourism. The town, which has fewer than 15,000 residents, used the video to cleverly hype up all of the appealing attractions their locale has to offer tourists.

In order to lure Hemsworth to their location, the residents of Cowra even planned to construct a large statue of the actor, called “The Big Chris”! In their promotional video, the Cowra residents say they’ll build the statue even if Hemsworth doesn’t visit (they’ll just make him bald in that scenario).

However, the Cowra residents didn’t need to worry: Hemsworth soon responded that, although he is currently out of the country filming and can’t easily visit due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, he’s looking forward to visiting as soon as possible.

Hemsworth, who is the Australian Tourism Ambassador concluded by saying that many locations that rely on tourism are hurting amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and encouraged people to explore all that Australia has to offer when it is safe for it to open up once again.
