Dr Strange LEGO Set Reveals [REDACTED]!
The most devoted of Marvel Blog True Believers will be utterly unsurprised to learn that a possible detail from the highly anticipated upcoming sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has appeared in what at this point may be considered one of the most likely of places: on a LEGO set!
LEGO Spoilers
This is far from the first time that LEGO has revealed details about an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie!
Back before Captain America: Civil War was released in 2016, the set “Super Hero Airport Battle 76051” gave us our first glimpse of Ant-Man’s humongous form, Giant-Man.
But from there, LEGO became somewhat more wily! In advance of Avengers: Endgame’s release in 2019, a set that featured a giant-sized version of War Machine was released, suggesting James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) might get the same Pym-particle treatment as Ant-Man got in Civil War. However, that proved to be a red herring.
By contrast, we got our first glimpse of Shang-Chi’s on-screen outfit in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings thanks to the “Battle at the Ancient Village 76177” set. This outfit proved to be screen-accurate when the movie was released.
In other words, whether or not this new set proves to accurately depict a scene from Doctor Strange 2 remains to be seen! If accurate, it could confirm that monstrous Marvel Comics character Gargantos will appear in the movie. Furthermore, it does include some very cool minifigs, including America Chavez, and the packaging design shows the Scarlet Witch in her fully costumed splendor!
However, do note that the set for the first Doctor Strange movie depicted a scene that did not appear in the movie! We never saw this tentacled portal creature in the first Doctor Strange, and maybe that means Gargantos won’t be in Multiverse of Madness.
LEGO Speculation Starts Now
This Doctor Strange set isn’t the only possible spoiler we have to contemplate at the moment. In addition, there’s also this Spider-Man: No Way Home set depicting Peter Parker (in his new, No Way Home exclusive uniform) fighting the Vulture! According to a sticker, this set was “inspired by Homecoming,” the first movie in the MCU Spider-trilogy, which features the Vulture as the big bad. But this seems suspicious to me, Marvel Blog True Believers…
