Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades is Out Now!
In a post made to the official Marvel website on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, the arrival of Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades – available at your local comic shop (LSC) beginning today, Marvel Blog True Believers – was celebrated with an interview with Lauren Amaro, an assistant editor who worked on the issue, conducted by Marvel’s Voices podcast host Angélique Roché!
Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades
Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades is the latest entry in the Marvel’s Voices series of one-shot anthologies, each of which spotlight a different community who is represented through the superheroes and creators of Marvel Comics. Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades celebrates the Latin and Latinx creators and heroes who contribute their talents and time to making the world of Marvel Comics a better place!
The highly anticipated anthology features a main cover by Joe Quesada, but there are many other variant covers from which to choose.
There is one by Natacha Bustos, an artist who you might recognize from the “Amazing Artisans” episode of Marvel’s 616 on Disney+.
There is also a cover spotlighting White Tiger, Marvel’s first Latino superhero, by George Pérez, Jack Abel, & Java Tartaglia.
Plus, one of the most exciting variant covers features Eva Quintero. We were introduced to this character in the panels of Reptil, and she gets her own twelve-page story in Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades, making this variant cover by Humberto Ramos & Edgar Delgado one of the best options available on the shelves of your LCS this week!
In addition to these variants, Marvel’s Voices: Comunidades also includes an introduction by Frederick Luis Aldama (A.K.A. Professor Latinx), whose name will already sound familiar to the most devoted of Marvel Blog True Believers.
Comunidades Available Now
You can come back to Marvel Blog later this week for a full review of Comunidades #1.

Will you be picking up a copy of this nearly-100-page anthology, and if so, which one of the variant covers are you hoping to get your hands on? We want to hear from you, Marvel Blog True Believers!
