Everyone’s Invited: Marvel Teases Judgement Day Crossover
In a Tweet sent on Monday, December 27th, 2021, the official Marvel Entertainment Twitter account posted a video that teases a massive Marvel Comics crossover – one that will incorporate not just the Avengers, but also the X-Men and (hold on to your hats) the Eternals, too! It all happens in Summer 2022, when Judgement Day arrives.

Judgement Day
We know very little about this event so far, Marvel Blog True Believers, thanks in part to the fact that we are still a good half-year away from the arrival of Summer 2022. For this reason, it’s unclear just what narrative developments could transpire between now and then and lead to this massive Judgement Day crossover event.

Consider, for example, the various storylines that will play out between then and now. For one thing, the Timeless one-shot, which promises to introduce a new status quo for the Marvel Comics universe and inform the story going forward, will be released later this week, the final week in 2021’s calendar year.

And we also know that there’s a massive event going down in the Avengers title right now, which could have an effect on the Judgement Day crossover.
Meanwhile, the mutants seem to be entering a new era of life on Krakoa (in part because the creative teams who helmed this era of X-Men history have left Marvel Comics to pursue their own creator-owned projects).

And finally, the Eternals have beef of their own, considering the Avengers have been using a Celestial’s corpse as a headquarters (no, I’m not kidding, Marvel Blog True Believers).

Just how will these three factions collide when Judgement Day arrives in Summer 2022? We’re not sure yet, Marvel Blog True Believers, but one thing is for sure: it has been a while since we had a crossover Marvel Comics event that foregrounded both the Avengers and the X-Men (not to mention the Eternals, too). It should be fun!
