Marvel Tweets Reckoning War Alpha Trailer!
In a Tweet sent on Thursday, December 30th, 2021, the official Twitter account for Marvel Entertainment released a trailer for the issue that will kick off the upcoming Marvel Comics Reckoning War crossover event, Fantastic Four: Reckoning War Alpha #1 by a creative team that includes Dan Slott, Carlos Pacheo, and Carlos Magno.

Fantastic Four: Reckoning War Alpha #1 is the issue that will officially kick off the Reckoning War event, which writer Slott has been building towards through his work on the Fantastic Four (and related) titles over the past decade and a half (no joke, Marvel Blog True Believers – sometimes the foundations for a crossover event takes fifteen years to come to fruition).

The Reckoning War in question is the first war that ever took place in the Marvel Universe, before Galactus, Asgard, or any of the familiar Marvel super heroes were around to save the day.

One thing you may notice about the trailer is the inclusion of the eyes of the Watcher, Uatu! We already know that the Watcher will be playing a role in the crossover event, thanks to the previously announced Reckoning War: Trial of the Watcher #1 tie-in by Slott and Javier Rodríguez. According to a quote Slott gave to Marvel.com when that tie-in was announced, the Watchers have been keenly aware of a possible resurgence of the first war, and this is what causes Uatu to return.
