Today, January 3rd, is the birthday of none other than the Marvelous Florence Pugh!

Pugh made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Yelena Belova last year in Black Widow (Marvel Blog’s Most Underappreciated Work of 2021).

She then went on to solidify her place as an integral element of the MCU moving forward in Hawkeye, which was released on Disney+ over the course of the last five weeks of the year. In particular, she and co-star Hailee Steinfeld stole the show over a Kraft Mac and Cheese meal in the penultimate episode of the most recently released MCU Disney+ series.

Where will she appear next in the MCU? We aren’t sure, Marvel Blog True Believers, but there is lots of potential in 2022. For one thing, we know she has been visiting the streets of New York City, so perhaps she’ll appear in Moon Knight.

Pugh’s work beyond the MCU includes appearing in critically acclaimed movies like 2019’s Little Women.
One big question on our minds, Marvel Blog True Believers, is what Pugh’s boyfriend, actor Zach Braff, will be getting Pugh for her birthday gift. Last year, to commemorate the release of Black Widow, Braff had a portrait commissioned of the actor performing in the role of Belova. That’s gonna be pretty hard to top, Marvel Blog True Believers! Maybe Tony Stark’s Holiday Shopping List can help him with some ideas.
