REVIEW: Iron Fist Update in Devil’s Reign #2

In Devil’s Reign #2 by Chip Zdarsky, Marco Checchetto, Marcio Menyz, and Clayton Cowles, with a main cover by Checchetto & Matthew Wilson, we finally get an update about what’s been going on with Iron Fist!

First of all, let’s get it out of the way: in the first issue, you might have been wondering what was going on with Danny Rand, A.K.A. the Iron Fist, during the event that transpired.

This isn’t too surprising, considering the characters you most closely associate with Rand – Jessica Jones and (of course) Luke Cage, his co-Hero for Hire – appeared in that issue. Fortunately, you don’t have to wait long to learn what he’s been up to in Devil’s Reign #2!

My biggest complaint about this issue is that I wanted to learn more about what Kingpin is up to, and instead, we got a more hero-focused tale. I guess they are the stars of the show… but what’s going to happen with Wilson Fisk’s presidential campaign? I’m dying to find out!

I am very curious what’s going to happen as far as Tony Stark is concerned, given that he was sort of brushed aside by the other heroes. If anyone has an ego, it’s Iron Man, so I wonder how well he’s going to take this!

And I am also very eager to see what happens concerning Otto Octavius in future issues of this series!
