Video Summarizes a History of Hawkeye(s)
In a Tweet sent on Friday, January 15th, 2022, the official Marvel Entertainment Twitter account released an animated video that traced the Marvel Comics history of our two favorite Marvelous archers, Hawkeye and Hawkeye!

A History of Hawkeye(s)
The video opens with Clint Barton already being recognized as “the Archer Avenger,” but after she gets caught up in her father’s shady business dealings, Kate Bishop meets the original Hawkeye and claims him as her mentor… However, he’s a little bit reluctant about the whole thing!
Soon after they meet, Clint falls in battle, and soon, Kate is the only Hawkeye in town. She ends up joining up with the Young Avengers, and they end up making quite the name for themselves.
However, because this is Marvel Comics, where death tends to be a temporary proposition, Clint is soon brought back to life. This causes friction between Kate and Clint, because he isn’t ready to give up the name Hawkeye!
Nevertheless, over the course of multiple adventures, the two Hawkeye(s) end up developing respect for one another, and the video fairly describes their relationship as being comparable to that between siblings.
The video concludes by showing some of the adventures the pair has had together, including one of my favorite stories, West Coast Avengers.
While the relationship the pair has in the comics is not exactly the same as the relationship between the two characters on the Disney+ adaptation Hawkeye, you can clearly see where the inspiration of the source material shines through.
