Marvel Celebrates 30 Years of Carnage With Brand New Variant Covers Throughout March
One of the most iconic villains in Marvel history is coming up on a very important birthday, and Marvel celebrates 30 years of Carnage with brand new variant covers.
Thorugh the month of March, Marvel will be combining the iconic symbiote with some of their most popular characters for brand new alternative covers for some of their ongoing titles.
Marvels most talented artists have let their imaginations run wild to reimagine some truly remarkable covers during what they’ve now called “Carnage Forever Variant” covers.
The variant Carnage covers will be featured on different Marvel comics throughout the month of March, with fans getting their first look at what they can expect out of the month’s first batch.
The first Carnage Forever cover set to release on March 2nd is done by Humberto Ramos on the Amazing Spider-Man #91
Featuring what is probably the symbiotes arch-nemesis, Ramos’s cover shows off a Carnage that is more in the traditional color scheme of the Spider-Man character; with all of the menace to make the Carnage inspiration clearly seen.
This is followed by Moon Knight #9, also set to hit stores on that same March 2nd date, being brought to life by Mike Allred.
Featuring the Fist of Khonshu, the cover shows off the vigilante clearly infested with the Symbiote. Keeping his signature white look, but sporting horrific red eyes, sharp teeth, and the dangerous signature Carnage appendages.
One of the more creative and intriguing designed covers belongs to Francesco Manna’s Carnage Forever cover for Strange #1 releasing March 2nd.
Displaying the symbiote partnered Sorcerer Supreme, the cover shows the menacing clawed Carnage claws on a Doctor Strange; with have of his face being replaced by the iconic Spider-Man villain in what is a must-have for Strange fans.
This is followed by the very cool X-Men #9 Carnage Forever Variant cover drawn by Ron Lim; which is also set to debut on that March 2nd release date.
The cover features the interesting choice of partnering X-Men Polaris with the Carnage Symbiote, which equated to one of the cooler variant covers of Marvel’s Carnage Forever collection; with the character equipped with a menacing Carnage face, and daggers floating behind her.
The final cover is a Carnage Forever Variant of Spider-Women #21 by David Nakayama, with this variant covered releasing on March 30th.
The cover shows the iconic Spider-Women in her signature red and gold costume, except clearly infiltrated by the Carnage Symbiote; shown clearly by her menacing face, and the protruding Symbiotic arms mid-attack.
