Jared Leto Talks Which Marvel Character He Wants Morbius to Interact Wtih
With the long-awaited debut of the famed Spider-Man villain just on the horizon, the star of the upcoming Morbius, Jared Leto, reveals which Marvel character he would want to interact with the Living Vampire.
A film that has been delayed perhaps more than any major franchise film in history, Jared Leto’s Morbius is just on the horizon, with its April 1st debut only two weeks away.
The film will follow the character of Michael Morbius, a doctor who is seeking a cure for a deadly disease that is threatening his own life, and many others.
One of the most interesting members of Spider-Man’s vast rogue’s gallery, Morbius is the ultimate contradiction; a character dedicated to doing good, yet afflicted with an illness that requires him to feed on human blood.
Because of his circumstance, Morbius has been more consistently understood in the source material as an anti-hero, and a character that has crossed paths with Spider-Man on plenty of occasions; something that many fans expect out of the eventual Sony project.
With Morbius, Sony is hoping to continue its development of their very own cinematic universe of Marvel characters; with an eye towards developing something akin to the MCU with its host of Spider-Man-related characters.
With that in mind, in a recent interview with Screen Rant, Jared Leto was asked just which Marvel characters he want Morbius to interact with in the future; and he gave a very interesting answer.
“Besides Robert Downey, Iron Man, there are so many people that would be fantastic,” Leto stated, “But of course, Venom would make a lot of sense. That would be fun.”
Venom is an answer that shouldn’t be very surprising, as he was the first character in Sony’s Spider-Verse plan that received his own solo film franchise; one that has been tremendously successful since the release of Venom and its sequel Venom Let There Be Carnage.
Seeing Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and Jared Leto’s Morbius interact would be incredible, as the two are easily some of the best performers in the genre.
