MAFEX Brings Back Classic Thor to Figure Form
The Medicom Toy company based in Japan is well-known for the MAFEX line because of the highly articulated and comprehensively detailed figures. Having created many Marvel characters, The company is now putting out a Classic Thor figure giving collectors a nod to Thor’s original design!
The Classic Thor figure from MAFEX includes a tremendous range of poseability, interchangeable hands, interchangeable head sculpts, and an absolutely stunning paint job that mirrors Thor’s classic visage perfectly!

Thor first debuted in Journey into Mystery No. 83 (1962). Formulated around the mythological Norse god of the same name, the story followed Dr. Donald blake whose mystical cane would transform him into the legendary hero Thor.
The modern image of Thor is now synonymous with that of Chris Hemsworth’s MCU Thor, though Classic Thor holds a certain simplicity that honors his original heritage. The MAFEX classic Thor by Medicom returns Thor to his comic book roots through a premium classic feel.

An almost exact replica of “The Most Exciting Super-Hero of All-Time!” Classic Thor is outfitted with Wings befitted to his Viking helmet, the six-button battle tunic, and yellow wrappings adorning his knee-high boots. A red cloth cape draped over his back ties the entire figure together, and vibrant pronounced colors give the figure a certain pop.
One of the highlights of Medicom’s MAFEX line is the massive amounts of articulation given to the figures. Thor can pose in just about any way you would like him. Give him a spinning Mjolnir accessory to mimic Thor’s hammer swinging exploits or pick your favorite comic cover pose him to your heart’s content, there is very little this figure can’t do.

The Classic Thor figure isn’t the only MAFEX Thor figure produced by Medicom Toy. Medicom has also created Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame Thor figures, each with a great level of detail and articulation.
Classic Thor is now the third Thor figure to join the MAFEX collection. Below is a comparison of the three figures and all three look absolutely stunning. All three figures mirror their source material and are an excellent addition to any collection.

The Classic Thor figure is now available for pre-order at participating online stores, the Big Bad Toy Store currently has preorders. Considering that Medicom Toy is a Japanese-based company, the number of participating stores may be limited.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit theatres in just a few short months! The Marvel Legends wave has been revealed with pre-orders already available! This summer is looking to be a Thor summer!
