Oscar Isaac (Kind of) Confirms Jake Lockley Exists in ‘Moon Knight’
Any Moon Knight fans note the absence of one identity as very important to the lore of the character, but in a recent interview, Oscar ISaac (Kind of) confirms Jake Lockley exists in Moon Knight.
It is not an understatement to say that Moon Knight has quickly become one of Marvel’s most engaging and well-executed series to date.
Following the eponymous character played by fantastic actor Oscar Isaac, Moon Knight explores the character of Marc Spector; a mercenary who suffers from dissociative identity disorder and lives with an alternate personality named Steven Grant.
Marc and Steven couldn’t be more different, and that’s what makes their dynamic so engaging as a viewer; Spector is the more physical and brooding entity, while Steven is the studied and mild-mannered cockney gift store clerk who just so happens to be vegan and a pacifist.
While the two characters have been perfect in the live-action, MCU adaption, any fan of the comic book version of the character has noticed one notably absent entity present in the character of Marc; in a recent interview, however, Oscar Isaac may have confirmed Jake Lockley exists in Moon Knight.
First reported by ComicBook.com, Isaac spoke on the series episode 4, and whether or not fans can expect to see Jake at some point; with the character being hinted at in the form of a shaking sarcophagus.
Isaac stated, “I’d say that you’re right. That it’s definitely things are pointing towards the idea that it’s not just Steven and Marc in that system, that there are possibly others. Yeah, that’s something that we discussed.”
The actor then ominously ended by stating, “Two episodes left to find out.”
With one episode arriving since those statements were recorded, we still haven’t seen Lockley arrive, which leads us to assume that he may just not show up at all.
The Lockley personality is a street-smart cab driver in the source material but could play a brand new role in the series’ final episodes as the more violent personality of the entities.
