The primary focus of the film’s first trailer was the character’s commitment to finally uncovering just who he is; with a narrative that seems committed to his own self-reflection and understanding of himself as an individual, and not just a superhero.
Various synopsizes of the film have indicated that the film will take Thor on this journey of self-reflection through a short-lived retirement that eventually leads him- and the debuting Jane Foster- to face off against the horrid threat imposed by Gorr the God Butcher.
