New Character Posters Show Kamala Khan’s Family and Friends
Ms. Marvel is set to debut next week on June 8th! As we close in on the debut date, Marvel Studios is releasing more character posters, with this next set focusing on Kamala Khan’s family and friends.
The character posters are done in the vibrant style that Marvel Studios has released in past Ms. Marvel posters with beautiful vibrant colors and designs filling the background and the character is placed in the foreground.

The first character poster is one we’ve seen before, featuring Kamala Khan wearing what we can assume will be her official battle attire, featuring the trademark lightning bolt across the chest, and Kamila Khan’s signature red scarf.
We won’t know until the series premieres whether the items around the poster will allude to other revealing aspects of the series, such as the two eyes in the background, or even the box with the swirl.

The next set of character posters features Nakia and Bruno. Nakia and Bruno appear to be part of Kamala Khan’s friend group, with Bruno Carelli being Kamala’s best friend.
In the comics, Bruno was an incredibly close friend of Kamala Khan and the only one who knew that Kamala was the secret identity of Ms. Marvel. Similarly, Nakia was also close friends of Kamala Khan with both having worshipped in the same mosque.

The next character posters show Kamran and Zoe. From what little information that can be gathered by trailers and other media, Kamran will be the primary love interest of Kamala Khan. Zoe on the other hand seems to be set as the ‘mean girl’ school character opposite of Kamala.
The comics versions of these characters play similar roles to their mcu counterparts. Zoe is Kamala’s school bully until she befriends her. While Kamran was still Kamala’s love interest in the comics, he was also an inhuman. Will Kamran retain his Inhuman origins even though Kamala lost hers?

The final four character posters include the all the members of the Khan family. Starting with Kamala’s brother Aamir, sister-in-law Tyesha, mother Muneeba, and father Yusef. These characters will most likely serve an incredibly important role in the coming series.
