Martin Freeman Confirms His Role in Secret Invasion!
While Thor: Love and Thunder is taking theatres by storm, more Marvel series are set to finish filming. Secret Invasion is one such series, with Martin Freeman confirming his role in the upcoming Disney+ show.
Secret Invasion will follow up on the journey of Nick Fury and Skrull Talos as they deal with the ramifications of the Skrull’s invading modern society after the events of Captain Marvel and Spider-man: Far From Home. Samuel Jackson and Ben Mendohlson will be reprising their respective roles for their Marvel characters.

In an exclusive interview with RadioTimes.com, Freeman confirmed that the comments Samuel Jackson made about both Martin Freeman and Don Cheadle appearing in Secret Invasion were true and remarked that he very well may be appearing in the Disney+ series.
Martin Freeman will be reprising his role as CIA agent Everett K Ross. Freeman first played the role of agent Ross in Captain America: Civil War when he attempted to apprehend Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes after he was framed for the murder of Wakandan leader T’chaka and the bombing of the Vienna international center.

Ross would go on to capture Helmut Zemo after discovering the truth that Zemo was behind the Viena attacks. Everett Ross would return in Black Panther clashing with Ulysses Klaue and helping the Black Panther deal with both Klaue and his menacing ally Eric Killmonger.
What role Ross will play in the upcoming Secret Invasion series is yet to be seen, but we certainly know that he will be working with Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury in some capacity.

While Marvel has been hush-hush about Secret Invasion, we know it will most likely adapt the Marvel comics Secret Invasion storyline. In the Marvel comics, the Skrulls invade earth and replace heroes and citizens around the planet with Skrulls.
Huge battles between various heroes and Skrulls occurred within the Savage Lands and Manhattan before Reed Richards Mr. Fantastic finally develops a device capable of detecting the Skrulls allowing the heroes to combat the Skrulls. The new Secret Invasion show may feature similar story elements.
