‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Arriving to the MCU in Phase Five
It was a moment of the massive announcement that took Marvel fans to the near and distant future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where San Diego Comic-Con brought the big picture to the public for the very first time; part of that is the announcement that Daredevil: Born Again is arriving to the MCU in Phase Five.
After two years spent away from the lauded walls of Hall H due to the postponing of the vent following the COVID-19 pandemic, many fans were wondering just what could be announced at Marvel’s first time back at the event in that two-year hiatus.
It had firmly established itself as a MArvel tradition, and it was taken away from fans; and after two years, MArvel was certainly ready to hold what may have been the biggest San Diego Comic-Con that they’ve ever been a part of.
Not only did the Marvel Cinematic Universe give fans insight into the next couple of projects coming to the studio, but it also delved into projects slated for the next two years, and spoke about the places that the Marvel Universe is set to go alongside these characters that we have yet to meet.
One of the highlights for Marvel fans was the announcement of a brand new Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, that is set to arrive in the MCU’s Phase Five, and bring back Charlie Cox’s enigmatic hero after four years of uncertainty.
It was announced that the Dsiney+ project would be a massive 18-episode adventure for the vigilante, and what is even more exciting is that fans got a sneak peek of Matt Murdock’s appearance in the upcoming She/ Hulk series, to which he should play a small role.
The upcoming Daredevil series is named after the seminal comic book series by Frank Miller, which explores a Daredevil whose secret identity is sold to Kingpin, and places the hero on a collision course as he attempts to save Karen Page, and himself, from the dangers of Wilson Fisk.
It was clear after Phase Four that Cox’s Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk would play major parts in the MCU moving forward, and that should all come to a head in the upcoming Daredevil series that we cannot wait for.
