Joseph Quinn Asked Pedro Pascal For Advice Before Joining ‘Fantastic Four’
Before Joseph Quinn agreed to suit up and join the Fantastic Four, the actor sought advice from his friend and Gladiator 2 co-star Pedro Pascal.
Of course, Pascal would later sign on to join Marvel’s First Family himself, but at the time, neither he nor Quinn knew they would soon be teammates.
“He’s a wonderful man. He’s a good friend. I remember talking to him in the hiatus about the potential of doing The Fantastic Four. He was telling me how excited he was for me to do it,” Quinn explained to Total Film.
Pascal Was Not Playing Coy
The future Johnny Storm quickly clarified that Pascal was not keeping any secrets.
“It transpired that he was in talks to do it as well. Not that he concealed that from me,” Quinn continued.
“But then that started moving his way, and we were talking about it, and the potential of it, and the prospect of kind of working together again. It’s one we were both excited about. He’s a very funny, talented man. We’re having a good time.”
When Will ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Hit Theaters?
In the end, everything worked out. After starring in Gladiator 2 together, both Quinn and Pascal will make the jump into the MCU for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
For his part, Pascal has been clear that the chemistry between the film’s stars is at the heart of the story they want to tell.
“The authorship that we have as a family is what’s anchoring us to this experience. And the rest of it is all valuable information and inspiration,” the actor told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year.
The film will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
