New ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ TV Spot Hints That the ‘Devil’s Reign’ Is Coming

On March 4, The Man Without Fear will return when Daredevil: Born Again debuts on Disney+.

While the series’ long and troubled production has been well documented, the story that the new Daredevil show will tell has largely been kept under wraps.

Although Marvel has yet to make an official statement, leading up to the show’s release, it has become increasingly clear that the MCU plans to adapt the Devil’s Regin storyline from the Marvel comics.

What Is ‘Devil’s Reign’

For those who don’t know, Devil’s Reign is a comic book arc in which Wilson Fisk is elected mayor of New York City and launches a campaign against superheroes and vigilantism. To enforce his edict, Kingpin turns to a new version of the Thunderbolts comprised of Crossbones, Taskmaster, Typhoid Mary, Shocker, Whiplash, Rhino, and Kraven.

Eventually, heroes including Moon Knight, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, and Danny Rand are all taken into custody.

While Marvel has not officially announced that Daredevil: Born Again will tell the Devil’s Reign story, Vincent D’Onofrio has previously hinted at the possibility. The end of Echo and the first Daredevil: Born Again trailer also positioned Fisk as New York’s new mayor.

The Latest Clue

Now, a new TV spot for Daredevil: Born Again has given us another hint that Devil’s Reign is on the way.

The new clip focuses on Matt Murdock’s double life as a lawyer and superhero. Amid the action, Wilson Fisk appears on screens in Times Square and declares that “vigilantes are not heroes.”

Based on everything we know, it looks like Devil’s Reign is coming. For now, however, fans will have to wait until March 4.
