Charlie Cox Discusses Daredevil’s Future – “I Would Love To Be In One Of the ‘Avengers’ Films”

As Charlie Cox prepares to suit back up for Dardevil: Born Again, the Marvel veteran is already considering Matt Murdock’s future.

When the new Daredevil series debuts March 4 on Disney+, it will not only give Cox a chance to reprise his iconic role as the Man Without Fear but also serve as a proper introduction for the character into the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Outside of the Daredevil franchise, Cox has dipped his toes in the MCU with appearances in Spider-Man: Far From Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. He also voices Daredevil in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Will Daredevil Appear in Avengers: Doomsday?

While we know Matt Murdock will appear in Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel’s plans for the character outside the series remain unclear.

Earlier this year, an Australian gym reported that Charlie Cox was working out in their facility in preparation for his role in Avengers: Doomsday. However, that has yet to be confirmed.

However, in a recent interview with GQ, Cox seemed to agree that Daredevil could team up with Marvel’s other heroes in the future.

“I think it’s more possible than it’s ever been, yeah,” Cox said.

“I would love to be in one of the Avengers films, or another Spider-Man, or something like that. For a couple of reasons. One, because over the years I have become a geeky fan of the character, and I weirdly, for the character’s sake, feel like it’d be really cool for him to get that kind of upgrade.”

As Cox astutely points out, Daredevil would seemingly be a natural for the next Spider-Man movie. With the Marvel multiverse set to come together for the events of Avengers: Doomsday, it looks like Daredevil’s first large-scale Marvel fight will find the hero outside his element.
