Tony Dalton Will Return as The Swordsman in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

Tony Dalton will suit back up as The Swordsman in Daredevil: Born Again, which is set to debut on March 4 on Disney+.

For those who don’t remember, Dalton originated the role of Jack Duquesne/The Swordsman in 2021’s Hawkeye.

In the series, Duquesne is depicted as a wealthy socialite and talented swordsman who is engaged to Kate Bishop’s mom, Eleanor. When his wealthy uncle Armand Duquesne III is murdered, Kate initially suspects Jack of the crime.

Eventually, however, it is revealed that Elanor killed Armand and framed Jack for his death. She also used to name to front a shell corporation that laundered money for the Tracksuit Mafia.

In the end, Jack is cleared of any wrongdoing and fights alongside Kate and Clint Barton during the Battle at Rockefeller Center.

The Swordsman’s Return

While fans haven’t seen The Swordsman since the end of Hawkeye, according to a new report from Variety, Dalton will reprise his role in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again.

The inclusion of Duquesne makes sense, as Daredevil:  Born Again will return audiences to the streets of New York City, where Hawkeye took place. Additionally, The Swordman’s connection to Kingpin could make his appearance more meaningful.

So far, it looks like Daredevil: Born Again will feature an eclectic mix of characters, including Punisher, The Swordsman, Bullseye, Yusuf Khan, White Tiger, and Muse. Perhaps we will even see Kate Bishop pop up.
