‘Vision Quest’ Finds Its Female Lead; Writing Team Revealed
While Marvel Studios has made it clear that it is changing how its television series are made, and will soon shy away from using the MCU’s big screen stars to anchor their streaming shows, one Avenger will still get his chance to shine on Disney+.
I am, of course, talking about Paul Bettany’s Vision, who will return next year for a new streaming series.
The upcoming Vision series, a spinoff of 2021’s WandaVision, will center on the adventures of White Vision.

For those who may not recall, Episode 8 of WandaVision introduced White Vision to the MCU. This second iteration of Vision was created by S.W.O.R.D. and sent into Westview with a mission to eliminate Wanda.

Eventually, a confrontation unfolds between White Vision and the version of Vision conjured by Wanda’s magic and grief. During their clash, Wanda’s Vision transfers his memories to White Vision. Regaining his sense of identity, White Vision declares, “I am Vision,” before flying off.
Terry Mathias Confirms ‘Vision Quests’ Place on the Marvel Timeline
As expected, the upcoming Vision series will follow the events of WandaVision. So far, however, the series seems to have more in common with Age of Ultron than the Wanda-centric streaming series.

“The timeline is definitely navigated. At the end of WandaVision, the original Vision was rebuilt and weaponized, and then had a moment of discovery and acceptance of who he was. Then [he] flew off. [Vision Quest] is following that character, and that character’s journey,” showrunner Terry Mathias told Katee Sackhoff.

As James Spader is set to reprise his role as Ultron in the new Vision series, the android’s creation will be back in the spotlight.
T’nia Miller will portray Jocasta
With Ultron set to re-enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it looks like a classic comic book character who has long been associated with the villain will also debut.

According to a new report from Daniel Richtman (via Deadline), T’nia Miller will portray Jocasta in Vision Quest.
For those who don’t know, Jocasta debuted in 1977’s Avengers #162 as an android created by Ultron to be his bride. In the comics, her consciousness is based on Janet Van Dyne.

Like Ultron, Jocasta breaks away from Ultron and eventually does battle with the Avengers.

In addition to finding the show’s female lead, the Vision Quest writing team has also been revealed. According to the Writers Guild of America West website, the writers on the show include:
