Chris Hemsworth Fuels Questions About His Marvel Future With New Social Media Post
While we know that Chris Hemsworth will return for Avengers: Doomsday, how long the actor will remain in the MCU has remained unclear.
Hemsworth, of course, made his debut as the God of Thunder in 2011’s Thor, eventually reprising his now-iconic role in three solo films and four Avengers movies.
After the disappointing reception to Avengers: Love and Thunder, the actor admitted that he would like to have one more solo film to make things up to fans. Despite this, a Thor 5 has yet to be announced.

Now, a recent social media post from the actor has many wondering if Doomsday will be his swan song.
Hemsworth Thanks Marvel Fans
In a new post, Hemsworth thanked fans for supporting him throughout his Marvel run. While he did not say he was laying down his hammer, the post read like a goodbye.

“Playing Thor has been one of the greatest honors of my life. For the last 15 years I’ve held Mjolnir and then Stormbreaker as the God of Thunder, but what made it truly special… was sharing it with all of you. Your passion, your cheers, and your love for this character have meant everything to me,” he wrote.

“Thank you for making my journey through the MCU unforgettable.. Next up, Doomsday!”
Will Thor Die in ‘Doomsday’
While Hemsworth noted that he would be returning for Avengers: Doomsday, the obvious question now is whether or not Thor will survive the adventure.
Previously, the Russo Brothers have teased that multiple characters will die in the film.

The conclusion of Thor: Love and Thunder sets up a future battle between the Asgardian and Hercules. For now, however, it remains to be seen if the showdown occurs.
