One Marvel Star Confirms He Is NOT Returning For ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Following Marvel’s epic cast reveal for Avengers: Doomsday, we now have a better idea of what to expect from the next cinematic event.
Pouring over the cast of the returning stars, the characters largely fall into four different groups.
First, you have the returning Avengers and characters associated with the team. These include Thor, Sam Wilson, Black Panther, Bucky Barnes, Ant-Man, Loki, M’Baku, Namor, Shang-Chi, and Falcon.
Next up, you have the X-Men- Professor Xavier, Magneto, Cyclops, Beast, Nightcrawler, Mystique, and Gambit.

Finally, there are the Fantastic Four and the Thunderbolts/New Avengers.
What About the Guardians of the Galaxy?
Upon reviewing the list, it is clear that some high-profile names are missing. Perhaps more importantly, however, the entire Guardians of the Galaxy cast is absent.

While fans have long assumed that the Guardians would eventually be announced at a later date, nothing has materialized. Now, one member of the current Guardians lineup has revealed that they will not be returning.
Sean Gunn Confirms He Will NOT Appear in ‘Doomsday’
In a recent interview (via Dario Freidmann), Sean Gunn revealed that he will not be reprising his role as Kraglin Obfonteri in Avengers: Doomsday.

The last time we saw Kraglin, he was setting off for adventure with the new Guardians of the Galaxy team under the leadership of Rocket.
With Gunn’s brother, James, now heading the DCU universe, and Sean set to appear in Superman, it looks like he has left the MCU behind.
The exit of both Gunn brothers also raises questions about the future of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Hopefully, however, we will learn more soon.
