Alan Cumming Reveals the Surprising Way He Filmed His ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Scenes
Of all the actors set to return for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, none has been more open about the filming process than Alan Cumming.
Shortly after it was revealed that Cumming would be reprising his X2 role as Nightcrawler in the upcoming MCU multiversal adventure, the actor shared his excitement with fans.

Subsequently, however, Cumming got himself into some hot water when he revealed that he was learning stunts for a moment where Nightcrawler is “hitting Pedro Pascal against the head.”

Now, the actor has shed more light on the Doomsday filming process.
Cumming’s Latest Comments
In a recent interview with Gold Derby, Cumming discussed filming his scenes in Doomsday, revealing that it was a very secretive operation.

“I did the entire film in isolation,” he said. “Lots of green screen, face replacement. They even gave characters fake names. I don’t know who I was acting with half the time. I broke the internet by mentioning something once, but honestly, I might have got it wrong.”
What Is the Takeaway?
While Marvel is infamous for its commitment to secrecy, it has had a hard time determining what to take from Cumming’s latest comments.

On one hand, it would not be surprising if Marvel really did keep the characters that Nightcrawler was fighting a secret.
On the other hand, however, this could be Cumming attempting to walk back his earlier comments about Pedro Pascal.
