It Looks Like We Are Nearing the Return of a Major Marvel Star

Last week, the Marvel world was set ablaze when it was revealed that Mike Colter would be joining Daredevil Born Again stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Jessica Ritter at New York Comic-Con.

With Ritter prepared to reprise her role as Jessica Jones in Season 2 of the Disney+ series, the hope was that Colter’s inclusion in the event meant that Luke Cage was also getting ready to suit back up in the MCU.

Now, we have another hint that Colter will be returning.

“I’d Be As Happy As the Fans”

During a recent appearance at Ottawa Comic-Con (via GamesRadar), Collier was asked about reprising his role as Luke Cake again.

“I’d be as happy as the fans, and that’s pretty happy. If the fans are happy, then I’m happy,” he said.

When asked about the possibility that Cage would team up with his former Defenders teammates to take down Kingpin, Colter seemed delighted at the thought.

“We haven’t had a scene,” Colter teased. “The thing about it is, this is Vincent, but when Vincent comes on set… it’s not him anymore, he goes somewhere else, and then it’s going to be scary. So I’m kind of interested in seeing him in character, being across from him, because he’s going to be a different person. I’m probably going to be intimidated, just like everyone else. It’s like, ‘Oh, sh*t, I’m doing a scene with Vincent today.”

Wait and See

While Marvel has yet to announce that Colter will indeed be returning for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, all signs seem to point towards a Luke Cage appearance.
