Fan-Favorite ‘Incredible Hulk’ Villain Teases Potential MCU Return
by Justin Hermes ·
While Captain America: Brave New World did not feature Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, the film did serve as something of an Incredible Hulk reunion.
While technically a Captain America film, Brave New World saw Liv Tyler reprise her role as Betty Ross, Tim Blake Nelson finally see his Samuel Sterns transform into The Leader, and Harrison Ford assume the role of Thunderbolt Ross from the late William Hurt.

For fans who had waited more than 15 years for The Incredible Hulk‘s story to continue, it was a dream come true.
What About The Abomination?
While Brave New World served as a comeback for many Hulk-related characters, one antagonist was conspicuously missing.

I am, of course, talking about Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky/The Abomination.
After serving as the primary antagonist in The Incredible Hulk, Roth reprised his role in 2022’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Returning for the Disney series gave Roth the chance to further dive into Blonsky, fleshing out a character that was largely one-dimensional in his debut appearance.
While She-Hulk was largely panned by fans, Abomination’s inclusion was praised. Nevertheless, Roth has not been seen in the MCU since.
Tim Roth Weighs In
During a recent interview with GamesRadar+, Roth was asked if he would be willing to return to the MCU, perhaps even in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. The actor played coy.

“Yeah, just go. Be fun,” he said.
With the Marvel multiverse set to come together in the next couple of years, it seems like the perfect time for Roth to play The Abomination again.

Hopefully, we get to see him square off with Hulk one more time.
