The ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Trailer Could Have Massive Implications For ‘Daredevil: Born Again’
After months of waiting, Sony finally released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day this morning, giving fans a first look at Peter Parker’s next adventure.
The Brand New Day trailer reintroduces us to Peter Parker, who is depressed and alone after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Without MJ and Ned in his life, Peter finds himself isolated and missing his closest friends.

While the Brand New Day trailer features plenty of exciting teases, including a hint that Peter is mutating, first looks at Punisher and Bruce Banner in the film, and a tease of Sadie Sink’s mysterious character, it also includes an Easter egg that may have broader implications for the MCU.
A New Mayor?
A quick scene in the trailer shows MJ and Ned watching Spider-Man receive the key to the city from the Mayor of New York.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out, however, that the mayor is distinctly not Wilson Fisk.
With Brand New Day firmly established as taking place after Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, it looks like Kingpin’s reign may be coming to an end.

It should be noted that the clip seen in the Brand New Day trailer is bereft of any context, so it may be jumping the gun to assume the end of the Devil’s Reign.

Nevertheless, with Daredevil: Born Again set to return this month, Kingpin’s stranglehold on New York may soon be over.
For now, we will have to wait and see.
