Tom Holland Reveals ‘Brand New Day’ Reshoots to Add “Humor” and Expand “Villain Plotline”
Before the Marvel multiverse comes together for the events of Avengers: Doomsday, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will swing back into action this summer in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The fourth installment in the MCU Spider-Man series, Brand New Day will see Peter Parker set out on his own after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home caused the world to forget who he was.
This time, however, Holland will be joined by Mark Ruffalo’s Incredible Hulk and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.

“Four years have gone by since we last caught up with our friendly neighborhood hero,” the film’s first synopsis reads.

“Peter Parker is no more, but Spider-Man is at the top of his game, keeping New York City safe. Things are going well for our anonymous hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he’s ever faced before.”
Tom Holland’s New Revelation
With just months to go until Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters, Holland has revealed that the film recently underwent some reshoots.

According to the Marvel star, the team added “more humor” and expanded a “villain plotline.”
“I can positively say that the stuff we’re doing, we don’t need,” he explained to GQ. “The movie works and sings as it is. We’re just adding the icing on the cake in certain areas. And we’re finding ways to add a little bit more humor. We’re layering in a villain plotline in a new way and some really fun stuff.”
Reshoots Are Fairly Normal
While reshoots are often portrayed as a negative, they are fairly standard for Marvel films.

Still, it will be interesting to see what Brand New Day went back and added.
