A (Very) Short “Venom 2” Teaser Debuts
But at only 21-seconds, can you actually call it a teaser?
Back in early 2018, Marvel’s Venom teaser trailer gave a short look at the upcoming film.
It really set the bar high for the film itself, which couldn’t have pleased everyone given the constrictions of the Sony/Marvel universe.
Note: This writer really enjoyed the macabre humor, Tom Hardy, and the pleasant surprise of Michelle Williams. This was a funny, funny film; with Tom Hardy!
However, that first Venom teaser trailer was quite successful in that it excited everyone who had long been hungry (get it?) to see the sometimes antagonist of Spider-Man arrive on the Sony scene.
Venom 2 Teases?
The Venom 2 teaser (?) trailer debuted today. And well, you watch it:
Give Credit to the Post Credit
Now, I don’t know why they didn’t simply add the above animation to the original Venom’s post-credit scene:
Obviously, there’s a lot of time between now and June 2021. So, I can give Sony a pass on giving too much away. However, I do hope that as soon as cineplexes open up we get a good look at the carnage coming in “Venom 2.”
