Black Panther: Tales of Wakanda is a collection of brand-new original short stories that is edited by Jesse J. Holland, with contributions from an all-star cast of 18 authors: Sheree Renée Thomas, Nikki Giovanni, Linda D. Addison, Maurice Broaddus, Christopher Chambers, Alex Simmons, Tananarive Due, Harlan James, Glenn Parris, Danian Jerry, Kyoko M., Temi Oh, Suyi Davies Okungbowa, Milton J. Davis, Cadwell Turnbull, Troy L. Wiggins, and L.L. McKinney.

Black Panther debuted in 1966 when he bested the Fantastic Four in Fantastic Four #52 by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Joe Sinnott, and Sam Rosen, before getting his solo debut in 1973.

T’Challa was the first mainstream superhero of African descent, and to honor his legacy storytellers from across the African Diaspora have each contributed short stories inspired by the Kingdom of Wakanda and its people.
The Stories of Black Panther and Wakanda
In the Tales of Wakanda stories: T’Challa will face his ancestors and Erik Killmonger will grapple with racism and his origin. The short stories will also feature guest appearances from Storm, Jericho Drumm, Monica Rambeau, and Namor!
