Feast Your Eyes on What If…?’s PARTY THOR
Well, Marvel Blog True Believers, by now, you’re likely familiar with getting some of your breaking Marvel Cinematic Universe news through tie-in products. After all, we had our first glimpse of Shang-Chi’s superhero outfit thanks to a recently released LEGO set image! Now, we’ve got a closer look at a new version of a familiar Avenger, arriving in the upcoming What If…? animated series: Partysaurus Thor!
Who Is Party Thor?
If you’ve been closely following Marvel Blog’s ongoing coverage of the Mighty Marvel Multiverse, then you already saw Party Thor on the “Guardians of the Multiverse” poster that was spotted earlier this week.
Now, as reported by CBR, a Hawkeyed Marvel fan has spotted even more images of the What If…? merch that will be coming out with the animated series, which was created by A.C. Bradley and directed by Bryan Andrews arrives on Disney+ this summer.

These include a hat and t-shirt featuring the (clearly labeled) “Party Thor” – as you can see for yourself in the original tweet above.
Magnifying Glass on the Merch
Has Thor been spending too much time in the Pixar universe with Rex? Maybe.
Although it’s not clear what circumstances might convene to result in this alternate version of the God of Thunder, we are very excited to find out more about this clean-shaven version of Loki’s older Asgardian brother.

One thing we do have to observe about “Party Thor” is that the character’s likeness looks less like Chris Hemsworth and more like Matt Damon, who had a cameo in Thor: Ragnarok as an actor who was playing Thor in a performance staged by Loki (Tom Hiddleston, disguised as Anthony Hopkins as Odin – look, you just have to keep up with the God of Mischief, okay?).

And rounding out the images is a hat that features Uatu the Watcher, who will be voiced by Jeffrey Wright. You may recognize the Watchers from their brief cameo in 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, but they have a long history in the panels of Marvel Comics – stay tuned for more on that soon!
