Every Which Way But WAUGH
This is especially cool because not only is Thompson an actor who appeared in the Howard the Duck movie, she’s also technically a Marvel Comics character!
That’s right, Marvel Blog True Believers: Thompson herself appeared as the last-page reveal in Howard the Duck (2015) #8 by Chip Zdarsky, Joe Quinones, Joe Rivera, Jordan Gibson, and Travis Lanham. This issue not only features Thompson, it also includes the 616 version of Switzler… So you might need to take notes.
Lea Thomson went on to appear in the next issue of Howard the Duck, as well – and you can read both issues on the Marvel Unlimited app right now if you want to perform an investigation for yourself! Get down, America! Vote Beverly!
Trapped in a Zoom They Never Made
As part of the GalaxyCon online event, fans can spend $65 to purchase the opportunity to engage in a two minute one-to-one video chat with Rose or Gale!
However, in addition to purchasing one-on-one sessions, everyone can take part in the live stream Q&A on Sunday, May 30th, at 12 PM EST.
In addition to Lea Thompson, you’ll also get to see Rose during the Q&A, who performed as both Admiral “It’s a Trap” Ackbar and Salacious “Evil Cackle” Crumb in Star Wars: Episode VI – The Return of the Jedi, as well as Tik-Tok in Return to Oz.
And Gale’s acting resume includes performing as Chucky in Child’s Play, Station in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, as well as Tasha, the pet dinosaur of the Porter family on the 1990s incarnation of The Land of the Lost.
Plus, Lea Thompson has additional relevant acting experience: she played Lorraine in the Back to the Future trilogy, and on the mid-1990s sitcom Caroline in the City, she played Caroline Duffy, a New York City cartoonist (it’s comics all the way down, Marvel Blog True Believers).
Lea Thompson: Sunday. Sunday! SUNDAY!
Are you planning on attending the online Q&A with these talented Howard the Duck performers at GalaxyCon? Did you get a chance to read up on Thomson’s appearance in the pages of Marvel Comics? We want to hear from you, Marvel Blog True Believers!
