Thor: Love & Thunder Wraps Filming!
In a picture posted to Instagram on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021, Chris Hemsworth, who plays the role of Thor Odinson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, revealed that principal filming for the extremely anticipated upcoming movie Thor: Love & Thunder, directed by Taika Waititi from a script he co-wrote with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Center Stage fans rejoice), has wrapped.
Thor: Love & Thunder
Waititi won’t just be directing the film, he’ll be appearing in it, as well, reprising the role of Korg, the alien made from perishable rock that we were introduced to in Thor: Ragnarok, the third movie in the series.
The director, actor, and all-around-talent, Waititi, reprised the role for Avengers: Endgame, in a scene that saw Korg wearing one of the director’s own trademark outfits (if you don’t associate pineapple print fabric with Waititi by now, we don’t know what to tell you).
However, you can expect the story to play out a little differently from the previous Thor films, as Natalie Portman, who plays Jane Foster, will be the one wielding Mew-Mew this time around. And before you ask, that means you just call her Thor, not “Lady Thor” or “Girl Thor” – it’s just like Sam Wilson as Captain America: you only need to say “Captain America” and people will know who you mean.
What’s that, Marvel Blog True Believers? If you’re calling her Thor, then what do you call Hemsworth’s character?
He goes by Odinson in this incarnation – and you can practice calling him that as you wait for them to officially announce that he’ll be joined by his trusty flying goats, Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder, in the sequel.

Plus, you can check out Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. episode five on Hulu for more on Asgardian goats… yes, seriously! But if that’s not enough Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder for you, check out Punisher Kill Krew by Gerry Duggan, Juan Ferreyra, and Cory Petit. In that issue, you can learn about that time Frank Castle stole Thor’s goats… hey, these goats are valuable!
Issa Flex, Thor!
While Hemsworth posted a caption that stated that it was “national don’t flex day” and therefore this photo was appropriate, I am afraid I’m going to have to call him out. Is this really not flexing? His arms are bigger than Waititi’s fake Korg head! Even if he isn’t in the act of flexing, posting a picture of biceps like this is definitely a “flex,” Hemsworth!
With Thor: Love & Thunder done filming and Loki on Disney+ just one short week away, we can bet that your heads are just as filled with Asgardian visions as ours are, Marvel Blog True Believers! When will Thor and Loki’s sister Angela get her own solo story? Will Loki make a surprise appearance in Love & Thunder? Baseless speculation begins now!
