REVIEW: Dash out for STAR WARS #14
In Star Wars #14 by Charles Soule, Ramon Rosanas, Rachelle Rosenberg, and Clayton Cowles, with a main cover by Carlo Pagulayan, Jason Paz, and Rain Beredo, even more plot threads and characters from a galaxy far, far away are folded into the War of the Bounty Hunters narrative, including some that will be very near and dear to the heart of long-time fans of Soule’s contributions to the Star Wars universe!

More Threads Woven In
First and foremost, you should know that Star Wars #14 is a text-heavy issue that covers a whole lot of narrative ground in a few pages. However, it’s so well done that you never feel like the issue is dragging!

The plots woven into the narrative aren’t just from the many ongoing books that are incorporated into this War of the Bounty Hunters crossover, they’re also from other Star Wars universe stories, including bits from the prose novel Star Wars: Leia, Princess of Alderaan by Claudia Gray and Star Wars – Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.
Plus, this story continues to bear in mind that it takes place between Star Wars – Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars – Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi, taking care to consider how Lando Calrissian went from antagonist to part of the team between the two movies.

The Millennium Falcon
All of the art in this issue is good, but the space ships are especially well done – both interiors and exteriors. In fact, during the scenes that took place inside the Millennium Falcon, I almost felt like I was in line for Flight of the Falcon at Galaxy’s Edge.

Furthermore, there is some great spaceship flying action in this issue, featuring everyone’s favorite Corellian freighter.

The War Rages On
With the War of the Bounty Hunters growing more complicated with each issue, you’ll want to be sure you keep up with the newly released issues if you’re going to fully enjoy the story… but fortunately, with only one or two issues coming out each week, that’s a more manageable proposition than it might be for some comic book events.
