Marvel’s Avengers Gets Black Panther Expansion
During the Square Enix Presents – Summer Showcase 2021 on June 13th, 2021, a new expansion for Marvel’s Avengers was unveiled, an expansion that features the King of Wakanda himself: King T’Challa, the Black Panther!
The new expansion is titled Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther – War for Wakanda Expansion, and it will be available in August 2021!
War for Wakanda
Arriving in August, this Marvel’s Avengers expansion will allow you to step into the suit of the Black Panther as you defend Wakanda from Klaw’s invasion (Klaw is a character you probably already recognize from the big screen thanks to movies like Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and Black Panther (2018)).
In the new expansion storyline, Klaw wants to steal the most precious resource in Wakanda, Vibranium, for his own nefarious purposes!
In fact, it’s very similar to his storyline in the MCU – remember how we got The Vision in the MCU? It’s because Ultron purchased vibranium from Klaw, and then used it to construct the android!
This must mean that Vision was comprised of some of the only Vibranium on the planet not controlled by Wakanda (Captain America’s shield is another). To me, it makes the fact S.W.O.R.D. was tracking Wanda’s The Vision inside Westview by looking for the decay signature of Vibranium a little creepy.
Also, this must mean that when Wanda made The Vision using her Hex powers, she created Vibranium, which is possibly the only Vibranium on Earth that didn’t originate from the meteorite that landed in Wakanda long ago!
Marvel’s Avengers has continued to have lots of exciting updates over the course of 2021.
Previously, Marvel Blog reported on a villain sector featuring A.I.M.’s greatest Scientist Supreme, Monica Rappaccini, who really knows how to extract every ounce of power out of a Cosmic Cube.
