Black Bolt & The Wasp Darkhold Tie-Ins Revealed!
In an article posted on the official Marvel website on Friday, August 13th, 2021, additional The Darkhold tie-in comic issues were revealed, and this is just the kind of news that’s appropriate for Friday the thirteenth!
More Darkhold Tie-Ins
Earlier this month, on August 2nd, 2021, we reported on the arrival of the The Darkhold: Iron Man #1 by Ryan North and Guillermo Sanna, as well as The Darkhold: Blade #1 by Daniel Kibblesmith and Federico Sabbatini, with a cover by Juan Ferreyra, tie-in issues for the upcoming event.
Now, two additional tie-in issues have been revealed. The first is The Darkhold: Wasp #1 by Jordie Bellaire, the outstanding colorist who is making her Marvel Comics writing debut with this issue, and Claire Roe, with a cover by Paul Renaud.
The second is The Darkhold: Black Blot #1 by Mark Russell and David Cutler, with a main cover by Travel Foreman.
Both of these tie-in issues fit into the same format as the previously revealed comics: in order to defeat Chthon before he leaves his dark dimension to destroy Earth, Scarlet Witch chooses several Marvel heroes to form a suitable team.
The catch? In order to survive in Chthon’s dimension, the heroes must first read from the Darkhold, a process that will have horrible mutating effects upon them!
According to the official description, after Janet Van Dyne reads from the Darkhold, her entire life is called into question (I hope this does have an effect on the Van Dyne style line, Marvel Blog True Believers).
And it seems as though Black Blot will be sent on an adventure that sees him imprisoned within his own head!
Meanwhile, we already know that Iron Man will be turned into a horrible inside-out version of himself, and Blade will become the King of the Vampires.
Judging by the previously released preview pages, we may be seeing a one-shot for Spider-Man, as well. And with The Darkhold: Alpha by Steve Orlando and Cian Tormey kicking off the event, will The Darkhold: Omega be waiting for us at the conclusion?
