Real Life Superhero: Dave Bautista Adopts Puppy-In-Need
In an article posted to the WFTV website on Saturday, September 25th, 2021, it was reported that Marvel Cinematic Universe star and former wrestler Dave Bautista had adopted a formerly abused puppy-in-need from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.

The most devoted of Marvel Blog True Believers will already be aware that Bautista is something of a real-life superhero!
He has made it very clear that he won’t tolerate homophobia, having issued a message to anti-LGBT individuals: as the proud son of a lesbian, he has no place for that nonsense!

Bautista’s personal story is a powerful one. He has revealed that before he was cast as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, he was broke, and he credits the opportunity to play the Destroyer as a godsend.

Now, he has a brand new four-legged side-kick with whom to share his good fortune!
Speaking of fortune, the former wrestler-turned-actor is offering a $5,000 reward for information on the person who abused his recently adopted pup (which is a crime in the Florida, and most states, by the way)… and if it’s hard for you to read details of abuse, may I suggest skipping over the next paragraph, I cried writing it, but luckily this story has a happy ending!

The 3-month old puppy adopted by Bautista is named Sage. She arrived at the Humane Society last week with a chain embedded in her neck after she was found eating garbage in a cemetery. Bautista saw her story and knew he had to adopt the puppy himself!
While it may be true that Sage has a horrifying backstory, it looks as though things are looking up for her: the Humane Society even shared this heartwarming photo of Bautista cradling the new member of his family.

Now, just one more thing, Marvel Blog True Believers: Bautista has made it clear that he wants to appear in the Star Trek universe as a Klingon. Well, I guess now we know the perfect canine actor to play his loyal targ!
